Spring Covid-19 Booster Vaccination 2026

We are inviting eligible patients to book their Spring Covid-19 Booster vaccination at Parkwood Surgery,

Vaccinations are due to commence from 13th April 2026.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible for a Spring Booster if you are:

  • Aged 75 years or older
  • Living in a care home for older adults
  • Immunosuppressed (due to a health condition or treatment)

If you are uncertain whether you are eligible, please contact the surgery.

Why is a Spring Booster being offered?

Protection from previous COVID-19 vaccinations can reduce over time, particularly in those most at risk.

The Spring Booster helps to:

  • Boost your protection against severe illness
  • Reduce the risk of hospitalisation
  • Keep you protected throughout the year

How to book

We will be contacting eligible patients directly with booking information.

You may receive a text message (Accurx) with a booking link.

Alternatively, you may be contacted by a member of the reception team, or invited to contact the surgery.

Please wait to be contacted where possible, as this will help us manage demand and ensure priority groups are booked first.

Housebound Patients

If you are housebound, we will contact you directly to arrange a visit. Please ensure your housebound status is up to date with the surgery.

Important Information

  • The vaccine is safe and effective
  • You can still have the vaccine if your have had COVID-19 (once recovered)
  • If you are unwell on the day, please rearrange your appointment
