Emergencies

Life Threatening Situations

Patients having life threatening situations, such as

  • pain in the chest,
  • breathing difficulties
  • clear signs of one side of the face sagging / slur in speech

MUST dial 999.  Please do NOT call the practice.

 

Same Day Emergencies

The practice operates a same day urgent appointment system for only emergency situations and can be booked via our Online Consultation Form, or telephone triage for those unable to access the online form.

Our Paramedic and GPs attend to patients booking for Urgent same day appointments.  Our Paramedic is a trained clinician and experienced to deal with minor ailments and where possible, urgent long term conditions.

Urgent appointments will not necessarily be with the doctor of your choice.  Patients will be booked with the clinician available on the day. .

Examples of emergency situations

  • young children running very high temperature
  • a persistent medical condition which is not clearing after a week or two
